The service

What Matters is a task tracker offered by Blackdogranch. Signing in with Google or Apple creates your account; you are responsible for what happens under it.

Your content

What you put in your list is yours. We claim no rights over it beyond what is needed to store it, sync it between your devices, and show it to assistants you have connected. You can export it or ask us to delete it at any time.

Free tier and Pro

The free tier is genuinely usable and rate-limits AI use to keep the service healthy. Pro raises those limits and is billed as an Apple subscription, governed by Apple's terms — cancelling follows Apple's standard subscription rules.

Every plan limits how many tasks can be open at once — 25 on the free plan, 500 on Pro and Pro+ — and completing a task always frees its place. Completed items stay on your list for 30 days and are then removed automatically; your export always contains everything on your list at the time you take it. We publish these numbers rather than describing any plan as unlimited.

Fair use

Don't attempt to break the service, access other people's data, or use the service for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

No warranty

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, Blackdogranch is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Keep exports of anything you cannot afford to lose.
